Big Cat Tales
Beauty Of The Beast
One morning in Ranthambhore we found a sub-adult tigress hiding on top of a low hill and looking out at a small herd of spotted deer. There was no way she could have approached the deer without alarming them. When we parked our vehicle on the road at the base of the hill, she found the cover that she desperately needed. She stalked towards our vehicle, which was not in line with the deer, to get closer to her prey. Unfortunately for her, another group of deer noticed her and the hunt was over. But fortunately for us, she allowed us a stunning glimpse.
