Yogendra’s Inexpensive Macro Tactics
Spiders come in all shapes, sizes and even forms. This one can easily pass as an ant, and that’s what it’s meant to do. This species is called an ant mimic spider. I was trying to shoot some ants on a tree in Dandeli, Karnataka. I saw this one on the same tree, and when I reached out to take a front view shot, I realized that it’s really not an ant but a spider. Check how it has raised its front legs to mimic the antenna of ants. These are the types of sights and insights which keep me glued to macro photography.
