Yogendra’s Inexpensive Macro Tactics
The scorpion fly is another insect that is hard to find. I found this one in the dense vegetation around the Temghar Dam near Pune. You need to spend many hours looking for interesting insects in deep grass foliage. When I finally found one, I decided to take a profile shot of it. The insect unfortunately did not show its “scorpion sting” like tail…maybe I will have better luck next time.
Taken with Canon SX50 (point and shoot) + Raynox + pop-up flash and home-made paper plate diffuser.
