Rat Snake by M. I. Monish

Four rat snakes Pytas mucosus gather in a tree hole in the Bannerghatta National Park on the outskirts of Bangalore. Rat snakes slide up trees using irregularities in the tree bark. Non-venomous reptiles, they are often killed by ignorant people, unaware of the service performed by the snakes in controlling the rat population.
