Tiger with Cubs by Kuttapan E.A.
After a gestation period of 100-105 days, the female will drop her litter of two to four cubs in a safe, undisturbed den where she will protect them with her life. Cubs are born blind and will weigh under two kilogrammes at birth. At this age, they are very vulnerable to predation when their mother must leave them to find food for herself. By the time they are four months old, the cubs will start accompanying their mother on short, closely-monitored excursions through their forest home.
